Did you know that all members of the LPA are also members of the MEA and the NEA?
Did you know that the NEA offers complimentary life insurance to all members in good standing? It's true, and there are two types of complimentary coverage:
1) Complementary term life--for all members in good standing
2) Introductory Term Life Insurance for New Members ($15,000 term life for free for a year)
This is a free benefit, but you have to name a beneficiary. It is one more way that our members can take care of their families and it appears that only 37% take advantage of it. It takes only a couple of minutes to register for these free benefits.
There are three ways you can designate beneficiaries:
1) Fill out this form and mail it back to the address provided.
2) Call the NEA Member Benefits Service Center at 1-800-637-4636 M-F 8-8 EST
3) Visit neamb.com and register as an NEA member, then click on "complementary life insurance".
This is just one more way that your dues dollars are benefiting you. I hope all of our members will take advantage of this benefit and register today! Should you need assistance, contact the local MEA office: 734-737-0995.
